Traveling and exploring new places can be an exhilarating and life-changing experience. It allows you to step outside your comfort zone and immerse yourself in new cultures, languages, and customs. As someone who has had the privilege of traveling and studying abroad, I can attest to the fact that each journey is a unique adventure that holds its own set of challenges and rewards.

Here’s a couple videos for now.  Come back for updates and new content.

Video created in 2020 for one of my class projects.

Transcript:

Hello everyone!  My name is Li Fang.  I am from the United States.   I was born in Thailand, but grew up in America. I am Iu Mien.

In order to improve my Chinese, I decided to study abroad in China.  I hope that after one year of Chinese language studies, I can pursue my Master’s Degree, become a graduate student majoring in Ethnology and conduct research about the Iu Mien.

When I first arrived in China, my Chinese was terrible. Even ordering food at restaurants proved to be difficult.  Although my proficiency in Mandarin Chinese has improved significantly, it still falls short of my desired level.

Whenever I have time, I take the family out to explore.  My kids are so curious.

I have met a lot of people in China.  I’ve become good friends with Chinese people and other international students.  I will always remember my friends and teachers.  I’ve always liked China.  I hope that in the future, I will have the opportunity to return.

Happy New Year!!!

Am I handsome? NO! Am I handsome? NO! Is he handsome? YES!!! Ok, he pays the bill! LOL!!!
